The hubs and I signed up for the local APA 9 ball scotch doubles tournament yesterday. This was our 5th and last attempt to get to the Regionals and possibly go to Vegas with the Scotch doubles format. We shot great, we had many misses but in the end we pulled through.

My dumb luck is that I scheduled our 5 year olds birthday party on the same day and time as when the regional is going on... So we can't go. Now I'm a little bummed. I will try to call the local operator and let her know, then maybe the folks who were runner-ups can take the spot instead.. :(

La vida es así. That's life. I already called the LO and gave her my sad news 😞.

Hopefully my team can knock it out of the park during LTC'S. I trust them, they have done an amazing job, specially with everyone being new at this. Hubs and I are on vacation in Puerto Rico that weekend. Hopefully we don't hit a hurricane while on the island.

I think maybe it's about time your little angel learns that pool always comes first, there will be other Birthdays. She might as well get an early start.

There will always be a pool tournament somewhere. There will only be one 5th birthday for your daughter.
