Story Part 1/3 - my first custom "PAIR", what do you think ?

!!! STORY PART 1 of 3 !!!

Hey Azer,
it´s a long time ago since i posted some pics of my collection, but i had some personal issues to clean up

Here we go again

In 2005 i had the pleasure to play with a cue from Mike Gulyassy for the first time.
I already had a Sledgehammer, but never had the chance to play with one of Mike´s Playing cues.
After that first time i decided to order a matching pair from Mike, and i was realy exited as i got it.
I played with the cues for more then 3 years now, but i thought it´s time to retire them and put it in my collection.

I hope you like the design, i still do and Mike does a fantastic job. The wood is awesome,
the inlays perfect and the wrap the best i ever had - a perfectly made stack leather wrap.

The pics are not as perfect as the cues and do them no justice at all, but i hope you can imagine it a little bit.

Like always it would be great to hear your opinions,
Erich

It´s nice to hear that Mike was helpful to you, too.
We have done all over a third party here in Austria, so i didn´t got the chance until now to know him personaly.
But i think i will see him at the EXPO this year

Gorgeous set. Matching Predators too. If you are interested in a matching case, Joe Whitten could do a smooth dark brown and laser cut the tribal inlay on the outside. He did something like that for me and it came out really well. Great set!

I love the inlay work on the cues. Looks very tribal. My cup of tea.

Thanks for the compliment, it´s nice to hear that again (Tribal).
Mike does that design in a cue before, and i built that for my wife so she has nearly the same cue like me for three years
But the reason i like that inlay was, it remembered me to a fashion line loge here over in Austria. You know "fishbone" fashion
I saw the design of Mike and the first thing in my mind was "fishbone", don´t ask why - i don´t know it by myself, but i realy liked it

Thanks for that great idea, drawman
I like cases and collect the a little too, but never had a Whitten, so your idea sounds great
Will talk to him and hopefuly it´s payable
Thanks again for looking, too,
Erich
