My first custom

After having my cues stolen last year I was talked into buying a custom cue. I decided to have Bob Dzuricky build a cue for me. It was a great experience. Update pics and videos. The cue turned out amazing! Just read my post and realized I was scared to death about what the trolls and haters on this site might say about what I posted. My post came across like a robot typed it. WELL after a few hours of shooting and a few beers, I think I'll post what I meant to.

Bob was incredible to work with. I had an idea (based on something he did before) he helped iron out the little things I was uncertain about. He then sent updated pics through out the build along with some videos on his youtube site. The cue hits incredible. Being my first custom I don't have extended experiences of shooting with other customs but I have had the privilege of short times with many different makers. Honestly it has to be one of the best cues I've ever shot with. I'm taking out my DSLR this weekend and will post more pics.

I do not own a Dzuricky but I was quite impressed with the video of him test hitting a cue that was only dry fitted together! Nothing on the cue was glued together yet. It was only screwed together and the cue looked like it played and sounded great. I am seriously considering having him build my next cue for me. Here is the link if anybody wants to watch it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8Bga6kh-l0

Oh Bob are you out there?

Very nice.Dzuricky puts out some nice cues from his Erie shop.About how long was the wait time?

Bob makes a phenomenal cue. I've been lucky enough to have him build three cues for me, as well as a shaft for my father. He is a hell of a guy, and a great cue builder.

I've posted several reviews regarding my DZ cues. Do some searches and you'll see what I mean.

My experiences were similar.

I have to admit, it was a long 8 months. I ordered the cue and sent in my deposit, then allowed the build to slip to the back of my mind and time seemed to fly. Then unexpectedly an email would pop up in my inbox with a pic and I wouldn't think of anything else, time would creep by. The idea would be replaced with other things, time would again fly and then BOOM a video would show up and time would creep again. This happened a few times through the build until Thanksgiving came around and I saw it was getting real close to being done. Those last months seemed to take years. The best was when Bob told me he shipped it and I had it the next day.

Your reviews helped cement my choice of Bob for my first custom. Thanks for posting all of those.
