My first Jacoby!

I've been intrigued by their Element series and finally pulled the trigger on the Earth model. I'm normally into inlays and sharp designs/colors, but wow! This one dazzles in it's own way. I love looking at it. It plays pretty nice too, though I've only put on a JFlowers Classic carbon fiber shaft (Taom Fusion tip) & the first CF shaft I ever messed with - a Cuedesg from Amazon. I haven't bothered with the stock shaft because I just don't like 13mm tips anymore.

Both shafts honestly play very well on it. I will probably get a better shaft soon, however. Either a Jacoby V4 or a JFlowers SMO. Even a Kielwood is possible, to keep that natural woods vibes going.

Thanks for showing off!

I have been sort of moderately curious about such laminated cues over the years. I have a Bob Renis cue, but that's just for my collection. It's an interesting cue to play with.

I have looked at the Jacoby cues like this but never felt motivated enough to grab one.

I am glad you took it out into the sunlight to we could see how the colors pop. Thank you.

The whole CF shaft thing is still foreign to me, but I am reading and watching. I'll be interested if you have more to say about how it plays.

👍 👍 👍

I'm in something of an exploratory stage with shafts right now, but I think I'm done with standard maple. Carbon fiber is probably where I'm going to commit, though I have a PureX FUZE Kielwood that's impressing me right now. It initially didn't work to my liking on the Steve Kornele custom I bought it for, but I gambled on a cheap Mcdermott Lucky cue (model L22) to put it on and, frankly, I'm loving it on that cue. It made a very nice player out of what many would consider an insignificant or uninteresting cue. It will be great when I want to play well, but don't want to expose my nicer cues.

I'd love to try a Kielwood on this Jacoby, but I'll wait until I can go to Fort Worth Billiards and try a demo shaft on it, if they have one.

By the way, despite my expressed intention to go with a Jacoby V4 or JFlowers SMO shaft, I (who can be impulsive, to say the least) just ordered a Bulletproof CF shaft with a medium tip for it.
