My First Post - To all Amboyna Lovers

Amboyna wood

I've been wanting a cue made with Amboyna burl wood for some time and seeing your cue just makes me want one even more. The wood in your cue is fantastic and i've got to decide on a design that I want to order and who I want to build it for me. My compliments to you on your work.

Hi again.

Thank you so much for the kind words.

Blowfish, shoot me a pm one of these days if you are here in the PI.

Ben did a good job of taking the photos. His gear sure beat the typical point-and-shoot we are so used to.

While he is still working on my site, here is another photo that came out good.

Enjoy!

Hey Al!

Your site won't be up 'till next year!:D :D :D Just Kidding!:D :D :D Only a few more pages to go!

I'm out of town right now (Cebu). I'll be back Tuesday.

My thank yous to all who appreciated the photos. I took it using only a Nikon D40 with a manual 1:2.8 macro lens and a softbox.

By the way Al, we have to re-shoot a few as they are a bit dark. I'll call you when I land.

Have a nice day!

Ben

Amboyna is a beautiful wood, and it goes well with the black of the leather.

Thank you Sir! I tried a leather that's similar to the one pictured above but it didn't feel right. The one installed did blend in better.

God Bless.

Though this cue available, for a Cue Connoisseur like you,I would prefer to make another one. One that would be built from the ground up according to your exacting specs.

Enjoy!

Al, are you related to Tony Bautista or have anything to do with Jazz? Or are you one of the three brothers??

another question, are you the one that made Antonio "GaGa" Gabica's butterfly cue?

Hi Johnny,

Yes. Tony is my brother and the youngest of us all.

I was not the one who made the cue for Gaga, but I believe it is Tony's work. It's been a while since we last spoke. I'll try to get in touch with him and give you the info.

God Bless

Al
