My latest Cue,a Phillippi.

Not as fancy as my old one that is on its way to Hal but its a great playing cue as many Phillippis are,picked it up the other night from a friend who has stopped playing.I needed a cue to hold me over for a few weeks so will be for sale in a couple of weeks unless i decide to have a nice brown leather wrap put on it and keep it as my player.

Fast Lenny, do you have more spec on the cue? joint material? sleeved? pin thread? Forearm wood, point wood, handle wood (looks different from forearm wood)?

I wouldn't cut into the handle but I'm wrapless fan.

I dont know much about woods but i believe the points are birdseye maple along with the butt,the handle looks to be macassar ebony or maybe rosewood and the forearm looks to me to be pau rosa or padauk.The joint pin is a radial,the buttcap and joint are phenolic not ivory.The weight is about 18.5.The cue is pretty and is a nice playing cue,ive played with it twice and its won me about $300 so its almost payed for. I would hate to cut it but im not a wrapless fan but then again it feels pretty good with no wrap and to tell you the truth i dont want to take its look away either of 3 different woods.I am going to post this and see what some of the guys on here think the woods are.

I wish I could give you the leather wrap off your old cue. I'll probably have it changed to linen. I don't know though. I'll just have to wait and see how it feels.

I've only had one cue with leather and I only had it one day before I wheeled and dealed it to Erik Lee.

The leather on the Phillippi has a nice feel,i prefer leather,i do like cork just not the look,this cue is nice,i am just not used to it yet without a wrap.
