Sundays are my favorite time to get in some practice. It's just a little quieter and relaxing where I play. But this last Sunday there were a few more faces on the 'main' 2 tables. Table 1 was Bucktooth (he usually hangs out here on Sundays) and Melvin playing 1P. Regardless of your opinion about Bucktooth's personality.. the man can play some 1P! And on Table 2 is Tall Paul and Coffee Mike shooting some 9ball for $100 bills. After my practice I sat and watched these guys shoot. A friend of mine was telling me how they all used to gamble together in 1972. 1972!! Incredible how long these guys have been playing and gambling. I bet they have TONS of stories to share.
I bet you guys have some local legend stories to share too. Would love to hear them. And if you have any stories on Bay area players like Tall Paul, George Michaels, Billy Palmer, Mexican Joe, etc... let's hear em. Nothing but respect for the guys that have been there and done that.
