I was just wanting to know what I should do about my local poolroom here in scotland because it is the only place I can go and the tables are ridiculous here's what's wrong with them:

1. The cloth on all 13 tables have not been changed in 5 years
2. The tables are not level
3. We constantly have dead rails on all the tables
4. The balls have not been changed in 5 years and do not roll true
5. The are of the lowest quality
6. And finally you can see the slate coming through 7 of the tables

Anyway guys as I said I am sick of the way my local room is run and I would go somewhere else but as yet I canno't drive and the nearest place is in glasgow and to make matters worse I have just renewed my membership.

Sorry for such a long post but any help you can give me is much appreciated thank you.

Wait, is this room called Slate?

No its called Rileys AP&S we have a bunch of them over here in Scotland but they are not all the same as the aforementioned club.

Stateside, we say, "money talks, bull$hit walks". I don't really know what that means, but your answer lies therein.

my advice is to quit pool and take up snooker

Thanks for reminding me...sometimes I forget! I am just a beginner and hope that I can play at your level someday.

Your only real problem would be the cloth and you could talk to them about that. Leveling the table is no problem and you could buy your own set of balls to bring when you play.

HAHA! Nah... it couldn't be $late. He didn't mention the glow in the dark balls and thump pounding music. :D

It's sad to think that place was once Chelsea Billiards.
