JimBo said:I didn't call Gilbert cues crappy, as a matter of fact if you read the post right above yours you'll see that I said I happen to like them. But if the truth be told I don't really care what you or anyone else here thinks of anyone's cues, you can have your opinion and I can have mine. I won't try to tell you who's cues you should like please don't tell me who's I can or can't call crap. Opinions are like assholes you know. But for the record I happen to like Gilbert cues and Andy, he's a real nice guy. I also don't care about what Duke does with his cues, but he's here selling them and as you know we have a special section for such things.

I read this afterwards and erased the post I wrote. But you did state that Duke sells crappy cues... Duke owns the Gilbert now and it is not for sale yet, but I am sure if he finds a cue he likes better he might be willing to sell it, but I see nothing wrong with that. call it an upgrade....
Getting back to why I wrote ... I have dealt with Andy Gilbert and had him convert a hoppe cue for me. The cue plays great IMO and I switch back and forth between a 1970s JW and the Gilbert as my playing cue... I would stick up for Andy because he is a stand up guy as you said, but also delivers an excellent product.
