I didn't call Gilbert cues crappy, as a matter of fact if you read the post right above yours you'll see that I said I happen to like them. But if the truth be told I don't really care what you or anyone else here thinks of anyone's cues, you can have your opinion and I can have mine. I won't try to tell you who's cues you should like please don't tell me who's I can or can't call crap. Opinions are like assholes you know. But for the record I happen to like Gilbert cues and Andy, he's a real nice guy. I also don't care about what Duke does with his cues, but he's here selling them and as you know we have a special section for such things.

Jim

I read this afterwards and erased the post I wrote. But you did state that Duke sells crappy cues... Duke owns the Gilbert now and it is not for sale yet, but I am sure if he finds a cue he likes better he might be willing to sell it, but I see nothing wrong with that. call it an upgrade....

Getting back to why I wrote ... I have dealt with Andy Gilbert and had him convert a hoppe cue for me. The cue plays great IMO and I switch back and forth between a 1970s JW and the Gilbert as my playing cue... I would stick up for Andy because he is a stand up guy as you said, but also delivers an excellent product.

right.

You did claim that the scruggs sneaky was the best...
you are right. I did say that, but did not say this or don't say this about every cue like they said I do. I have since had other cues that play just as well as the scruggs and they have been nicer. my gilbert plays very well and you won't find it for sale anywhere. you can mark my words on that! I have plans on having leather put on it this coming weekend hopefully. I'll post pics after it's done. (like anyone cares...right?)

good for you.

That was my impression on the Bushka DZ, and Zim's Schon, and the Scruggs SP, but maybe this one is special...

I've already said I don't care what he does, the guy is a clown, the point is we have a special section to do what he wants, he needs to learn to use it. He also baits and tries to create a controversy so he can generate more attention, he thinks he's a real salesman and nobody can see threw his act, it's really quite funny.
