... with phenolic tip, or with layered tip?

I can choose right now between a White Diamond (not so impressed at break, but awesome jump), and a Kamui Black Hard tip.

Opinions please... :)

Thanks 4 everyone, have a nice day!

I'd try the factory phenolic first. You can then make a more informed decision after you've used it for at least a month.

BTW, I have a BK2 with the factory phenolic and it hits great!

It is great the way it comes out of the factory, dont change a thing. IMO.

I gave my stock BK2 a month or two... then changed out the tip to a Talisman BK. More control.

I like the HARD leather tip that comes with the Predator BK2 UPON REQUEST, WHATEVER the tip is. You can put a little follow/draw/side on the cue ball without miscueing.

When I had my BK2 I had the HARD leather tip as well. It is the best tip for that cue in my opinion. I really like the White Diamond tip but would never put one on a BK2.

I've been using a BK2 Shaft & Phenolic tip as my everyday player.
I did watch Mitch Ellerman play pretty damn strong with his BK2 in a ring game once at Alexanders. The tip came off his playing cue shortly after it started. He ended up taking 2nd.

I also have a OB1 & a Z

I started using the BK2 after I broke the tip off my Z, just for shiz & giggles..

ended up playing very well with the BK2, havent been able to go back despite re-tipping the Z. Bigger jump in my game than any lesson, DVD, book, etc.
