My New Brunswick GCI 1963 pictures!

I will try to make it down there this summer break. My god parents wants me to visit them, but they live in hillsbroug, california, How far is that from you, because I will be staying with them and I don't have access to a car down there to get to you, I might have to take a cab or something lol I dont think they will be down to drive me there haha.

Good luck in restoring this table it looks real good as it is, i dont think its going to take alot to get it origonal new condition, I like the orange ones too. OH yes throw away the 9 ball rack please. thanks eric

i have one GC1 thats is good shape, its been a while since i seen it but I remember it was in good condition, I'm not going to sell it. I'm going to keep it, Wouldnt it be cool to have a room set up with collectable tables-or just the ones you like, like a 50 car garage for a collection. Some REAL old stuff, new stuff, all the GC's, Diamonds, etc. 3 cush boxes, snooker. just everything, and no WINDOWS!!!!!, with open cue racks with the good stuff out in the open. A hands on mueseum kinda thing, and armed guards to blast anyone who even thinks about pinching a Szam.

Thanks Fatboy. I'm not going to screw with this table too much. Just clean it up basically. The orange is bad ass!
Do you need an Anniversary for your collection?

ChinO, that about 350 miles away! That's' one expensive cab ride.

He already has one!!!!!!

Didn't go through the whole post so I don't know if it was mentioned yet, but I suggest going out and getting yourself a can of what's called "Never-dull" and rubbin' those brass and chrome accents back to new! All I can say is it works and I'm pretty sure you'll be very happy with the results.

WOW!....I was brought up on a 62' white on white GC I. This thread brings back all the good ole' days!

I just sit back and think about all the basements, bowling alleys, bars, warehouses, pool rooms...etc that are housing the thousands of GC's that were built back in the day!

I'm gonna call my Mom and see what happened to our old table!

....but it won't replace my GC4 chrome copy! :)

If you haven't done so already, you may want to find out what the original finish was like on the parts you intend to polish...If originality is what you are after.

Does anyone know when they stopped putting the nameplate on the GC headrail?

Did it come off with the score counters on the Gold Crown 4?
My 1994 Gold Crown III has a name plate on the Head rail. Just a little more modern than the one in the picture you posted.

I have the exact same table and have had it since 1979. Mine was built in 1962. When I opened a pool room in 1989 I moved it there and took the white plastic stuff off of the bottom, because it is real hard to take all that on and off to recover and for pool room usage it was not practical to have on there. I painted the orange wood a nicer brown. I still play on it all the time.

A lot of people that have a ball return take off the bottom plastic part of the aprons. You need them if you have drop pockets because they hide the bottom of the pocket from view.
