Thanks Mark.

I've heard Jay's name mentioned all around billiard circles for probably the past 15 years, with nothing but nice things ever said. He has already corresponded with me, and I am excited to get the cue.

I used a steel joint cue for years, but switched to a Predator shaft and flat faced joint for the last year. I recently decided to try the steel joint and maple shaft again. I think this is an excellent quality steel joint cue to try again, and for a very reasonable price.

Mike - Is that Jay Helfert? If so, you won't have any problems. Guess you don't want the Skip now?

It is Jay Helfert. He seems like a great guy.

I am still interested in the Skip. I was waiting to hear back from you after you considered the Whitten trade.

Mike,

I'm glad you got the cue. $200 bucks - "such a deal!." That cue was easily worth $300 and it's in fine shape.

Jay has a long history in the business. I was just watching an Accustats tape of where he was the commentator along with Buddy Hall. It was a really terrific Keith McCready/Nick Varner 9 ball match from the old days. Keith was playing jam up. Anyway, Jay was just as knowledgeable as Buddy Hall was about the table strategy in his commentary.

He is in the new book Danny DiLiberto is publishing, promoted a lot of tournaments, and knows all the players well.

Jay is a gentleman and I know you're going to be happy. He is a little new to the computer/auction game but I am sure he will pick it up quickly.

all the best,

Chris
