Well everyone, I have been talking about my new Barnhart cues in previous posts, but here are the pictures. They aren't the best pictures but you can get an idea of what they look like.

Thats great Sarah. I was also thinking of having my name engraved into the butt of my cue...still might. Maybe I'd put my "handle" on it. But then if I wanted to sell it down the road I might not be able to.

Nice cues. I really like Bacote. My bacote cue is in the Blue Book Vol 2. page 83. It's the middle cue of the Parrot bunch. Problem is, you can't see the handle, which is the bacote part. :(

Oh, I forgot to mention what order the cues were in. From left to right, the first cue is my playing cue, the second is a sneaky pete he sent for me to sell, the third is a jump/break cue. Just thought I would clear things up.

UW....I was pretty excited about my name being engraved on the cue. It is the first cue I have owned with my name on it. I might have been more excited about that than anything :) I know...cheesy.

No not cheesy, its actually pretty cool if you ask me. Anyone nowadays can have it etched/burned into the buttcap, but back in the day cuemakers would actually build their name into the cue with inlays and such. Then it would be a tremendous honor if a maker did that as a gift to the winner of a tourney. Like the de Oro cue in the new cue calendar. Nice nonetheless.

Sarah, it's just that if and when you sell your personalized cue and the buyer takes possession, it'll have someone else's initials on it: yours and not the buyer's. It's an issue although small.

Thats a good point. It is up to the person and the cue maker whether they want my name on it. Alot of people that have seen it/played with it like that my name is on it. Like I said it is not up to me. Two of the cues in the picture are my personal cues. The sneaky pete was mine to sell. I was saying I like the fact that I have my name on my personal cue. I think it is pretty cool.

No, I'm not playing with the Cog in tournaments. That cue has gone into hiding :) It was a tough decision but I am happy with it now.

Joe, I did sell both of the sneaky petes that were sent to me. Hopefully I will be getting more soon.

You wanna sell the cog?? :D

I'm sorry. I can't sell my Cog. I love that cue and it has alot of sentimental value to me. It is very tempting since nearly a whole year on tour would be paid for but, I can't do it. If I ever change my mind I will keep you in mind.

Sarah
P.S. Are you going to the tournament at Chris's Billiards this weekend?

Is it their regular sunday night tourney?

No, it is a bigger tournament. $1000 added on saturday.

Cant go on Saturday. Wish I could :(. Are you gonna be in it? If so, good luck and knock 'em dead! Does Chris's hold these $1000 added frequently?? I checked the most current issue of Chalk Talk and there was no mention of that tourney this weeked.

I think they hold these bigger tournaments once a year or so at Chris's. Hopefully I will be playing. They are only taking 128 players so I hope it isn't full. There is supposed to be a womens tournament on sunday. I will definitely play in that.

Sarah

I really shouldn't say this but having your name on your own personal cue will actually add value to it because it would be bought as a Sarah Rousey personal cue and not as a Barnhart cue. Especially if you should hapen to move up to the top ten in the WBPA.

What did the SP's go for?

Jake

Thanks Jake. Hopefully it will make the cues more valuable. So far, everyone thinks it is pretty cool and they want it on their cues.

The sneaky petes went for $300.
