My New Inlays

Just got my Coker back from Joe Callaluca. I sent him two designs and wanted them in the forearm. The cue was all Ebony.

Since I plan on keeping the cue, the designs are something personal to me that makes the cue special to me.

He converted the designs to the cue better than I could have hoped. I don't think I have to worry about seeing these elsewhere. :) :)

Thanks Joe

Is there meaning to the design? Is it a symbol for some secret society like Rriory of Sion or Freemason? :D

What is the white color? What material is used for inlay? Did you have to get the cue or forearm refinished?

Yes they have meaning to me. Some might think Wicca, others might think magick. They're just symbols.

They are Ivory and he was able to do it without refinishing the whole cue.

Since you designed the inlays, I was curious of your reason for choosing particular symbols. It's not run of the mill cue inlays, thant's for sure.

Of course, if your reasons are personal and private, I'd respect that as well.

I didn't really design the inlays. They are very old symbols that I tweaked a little so as to make it easier to transfer into an inlay.

I guess you could say I adjusted them a little but being very careful to maintain their original appearance.

Yeah they are really nice.. I have been trying to do a goat sacrifice inlay and I just can't get the geometry down. :D

I posted these as a way to show Joe's work. It sure would be nice if we could stay on that.

As I said they are personal, but it appears that I need to clear things up to avoid any further confusion.

The Tri symbol stands for the Holy Trinity, Father, Son, Holy Spirit

The other symbol stands for the Godhead.

They are both Celtic

"That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity, neither confounding the Persons, nor dividing the Substance.

For there is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit.

But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, is all one, the Glory equal, the Majesty co-eternal."

I like them. I believe the symbol in the first picture is called a triune or celtic knot. The second symbol is actually a baphomet. I think he should have sharpend the baphomet, but I think it's really original and I like them a lot.

The horned image was first good and then taken and turned into something evil, first by rival Christian faiths and then later by the occult believers. He is PAn in some circles, Green Man in others.

But first he was this:

"The GREAT FATHER ((All Celtic regions)) *God*
The Lord. The horned god, (Not Satan) lord of winter, harvest, land of the dead, the sky, animals, mountains, lust, powers of destruction and regeneration. The male aspect of creation."

And yes, I think Joe does outstanding work and it is for sure something I don't think I will see again. But that was the whole idea, to make it unique to me.

Very interesteing. I wasn't implying it was a satanic symbol. It is a symbol that was combined with the pentagram. The pentagram which in Wicca is associated with the spirit.

Anyway, I really like the designs and may steal them from you :D

I didn't mean anything by it either. It was something I meant to say earlier. I kinda hoped that people would just look at the work and I could avoid all this discussion about what it means to me, but after the one post about the goat, I knew that wasn't going to happen.

So I thought it was better to explain them. I know both of them can be taken many ways, some good some not so good.

I guess when it's all said and done, all that matters is what they mean to me. :) :)

I like the work. I was just trying to clarify there's nothing demonic about the symbols. It really is what it means to you, I don't want to take away from that.

I would've liked to seen "the goat" a little sharper, as the symbol is normally displayed that way. Large inlays in the butt would look really nice.

The curved lines connecting each other appears on the cover of many New King James Bibles and a foot note says it is an ancient symbol meaning the Trinity. Is that what you get out of it or is their some other meaning?
DUMB ME! I should have read down farther and I would have had my answer.
