Wow lovely job with the wrap....could you post closer pictures so we can see the detail? Is that real lizard or textured leather? And who is Guido Orlandi?

BTW is that a Gilbert? What are the specs and how much did it cost you? PM if you'd prefer....thanks!

Guido is from up north. He said upper peninsula Michigan. Yes that is my Gilbert '04. Southwest style: 3 high 3 low- cocobola forearm- curly maple points- 4 veneers black, orange, maple, black. 3/8X10 wood to wood joint.- 19 oz. 2 shafts- 12.5 diameter. Ivory ferrules, Talisman medium tips. linen fiber joints and butt cap. Yes real lizard BTW. Not Print.

for him is no longer in service. He usually calls me when he comes through town and we have some nice matches, and compare new stuff.. I havent heard from him this year. Guidos a great guy and makes a nice hitting cue, and now I see he's into installing sweet lizard... good to know. Thanks.

In your honest opinion, how much is a reasonable $ for REAL lizard wrap?

Well, for one it involves catching a lizard (har har har), but I think it should be more expensive just because you're killing a lizard to wrap a cue, and Monitor lizards are apex predators and in short supply...at least in their native habitat.

Lizard wraps also wear horribly, whereas the print variety feels nice and lasts forever.

That probably cost in the neighborhood of 250.00??????? I dont know Mr. Orlandi but thats a starting figure for that wrap i beleive......:rolleyes:
 
Nice wrap job Arm, you should post some pictures of the forearm of your cue that are up close...really pretty veneers it sounds like.
