Chris.......so your newest addition doesn't have an ivory joint............so what......it looks great sitting next to your other Mottey cue that has an ivory joint........you own both style cues which Paul made and that's a special arrangement.

There was a Mottey cue that sold on e-Bay 6-7 months ago. It was a Mottey cue that had a steel piloted joint......I didn't bid on the cue because of that but I couldn't stop thinking about that cue. I should have got it and the cue was called "Szambushka" and it was indeed handsome.....custom leather case engraved "Szambushka".......great veneers like yours.....etc.

I didn't get that cue and I kick myself in the ass.......I passed because the joint wasn't one of Paul's piloted ivory versions.......I made a big blunder and should have gotten that cue...........Paul Mottey cues will remain in great demand regardless of the cue joint and I betcha you'll love playing with the cue too.

Screw the Mottey, look at that Jensen! Haha, jus kiddin. Those are two gorgeous Motteys. Seriously, nice pickup bud.

My Mottey?

Chris,

Is the amboyna Mottey the one you bought from me? I regret selling that cue!!!!

Not this one, I basically owned it since it was new, I bought it from Cosmo, which it was delivered directly into my hands by Paul himself.. I only sold it in 2009 to a family member because I needed a down payment for a new car and I bought it back from him last year..

I wish I would have bought another ambit a mottey because I would live to have two of them :) I love amboyna burl!

Thanks for the kind words everyone...

Yally, that Jensen has a special place in my heart.. Mike Johnson told me he made it in 1990 , it has the Jc logo , it was the cue I sent out to have refinished via Aaron painter and he screwed it up after having it almost two years, somehow he convinced me he would fix it and make it right, then three months after I sent it back he told me his wife sent it to an ex business partner and it was gone forever.. 3 years after that it turned up for sale here on the forum and I was able to get it back..so it was gone for 5 years! I didn't think I would ever see it again.. I guess it was meant for me to have it..

Just weighed the shafts... One is a monster 4.5 ounces and the other is 4.3...

The butt itself weighs 15 ounces and there is no weight bolt..
