got this cue from chuck a few months back after trying out the double refund cue he was gracious enough to ship around. Well I got one of chucks shafts and a tiger x with it. I noticed a slight roll off with the tiger, and i contacted tony at tiger products (great guy to work with!). He said ship the cue and he would replace for free. I decided to go with a stacked leather wrap while he had it and thats what you see here, love this cue and the way it hits....good job chuck and tony!!

I love my Starkey and it's become my favorite player, I don't know why the wood pin hasn't caught on with more cue makers. I'm curious though as to how you got a Tiger shaft to match up with that big wood pin? Did Chuck do some special work to the shaft or did Tiger?

My Starkey cues are the best hitting cues I've ever played with. Bar none.

well the whole reason i ordered the tiger was because thats what was on the original "double refund cue", and i loved how it moved the ball around the table. CHuck had no problem making it fit........and then when tiger replaced it for me they didnt have a problem either, just had to send them the butt so they could make sure it fit nice. The new one has the tiger marking on it which i like, chuck used a blank. Just send your cue to tony and he can fix you right up.

Chuck is making me a cue right now, he just sent me pics of the unfinished cue, It has a nice curly maple handle, highly figured koa forearm and butt, with Ivory joint. I cant wait to get this cue and play with it. I will post pics when I recieve it. Happy New Years to all.
Regards,
Ian

I recently recived the "Euro Demo Cue" back from a trip down range...
I have been able to play with the cue a few times since I have had it, and I still look forward to getting back everytime I send it out :D.

Wonderful playing cue... cant say enough good things about.. I will be placing my order with Chuck in the near future.

BTW , If there are any European members or Soldiers/Airmen/Sailors/Marines here or deployed downrange that want to give it a go, drop me a line and I will ship out the cue via APO.

The list is open right now as most military guys are on block leave, so gimme a buzz if you want to take one for a test drive

It's great to see a fine cuemaker such as Chuck Starkey finally start getting the recognition he so rightfully deserves. Plus, he is so easy to work with. He is a credit to the cuemaking trade.

My wonderful Starkey cue that he so graciously sent to me is now being played with by none other than Mark Tadd. Mark picked it from among three fine playing cues that I offered him to use. I told him he could chose one. He liked them all but picked the Starkey to play with. He loves this cue! He will be playing with it next week at the DCC, so stay tuned.

Suffice to say, many cues "kick ass" today. I happen to prefer my Josey that I've had for ten years. I just need to hit some balls with it before DCC. And I only have a few days left. I'm such a retard when it comes to getting in shape.

Okay today I'm heading to Mr. Luckys for a minimum of two hours practice!
