Had to finally get something for my Birthday last month and Ordered a NEW VIKING CUE with 3 Shafts. 11.75mm Vspin with Elkmaster, 12mm Vpro with Elkmaster tip, and Vikore 12.25mm with Kamui Black Super Soft tip. East Indian Rosewood like my old stick, but I went the extra on pearl inlays and matching rings on the shafts.

Getting a new cue is just a unique thrill. Until you experience it, you’ll likely think what’s the big deal.
It’s like getting a new set of woods & irons. It makes you wanna play better golf & even practice more.
That new cue you get is the same as far as I’m concerned. It gets your desire to play better kick started.

My first cue was a Viking and I was able to reacquire it years after I left in a locker in a pool hall that closed. Randomly met the guy who ended up w it and bought it back. It’s got the super joint and the shaft is 11mm, Viking refused to warranty anything slimmer. I was 14 or 15 when I got the butt and took it or oudly into the Viking showroom in Madison Wi. The biggest table I’d ever seen was it their showroom,

14-15 when I took the butt in to have a shaft made. When we went to pickup that shaft I was happier than the kid that got the red rider in a Christmas story

Beautiful cue

I am taking my time shaping the tips since I have three of them to get ready for play. I began shooting pool with them yesterday and would take a few shots and then rework the tip shape. I also use a little quik slick on the Shafts to smooth them just a bit. I did notice the difference between the Vikore and Vpro Shafts and different types of tips. Still evaluating everything and too soon to tell yet but everything seems to be going well and I am very happy and excited about finally being able to step up the look and feel of old and new married together.
