My personal cue

Had Richard black make me a cue of my own design in 2013 while I was building my home in Madisonville! The enlay above the wrapping is a replica of the cue!

I put three nine balls on the ebony butt and 1970 world champion also. Kind of knocks my action doesn’t it lol. I love the cue but Mr Black put the hardest tip known to man on the shaft and all I did was miscue with it trying to practice!

Spoke with with Nick Varner at the seniors tournament in Houston and he told me to put a kamui tip on it, medium and tan, so I ordered a couple from Pool Dog plus glue and a tip installing device! I did this early this year and what a difference it made! Trimmed the tip up and practiced with my cue for an hour plus and played pretty good. I’ve only practiced about once every 5-10 years but I haven’t lost my game completely! Thanks to Nick for putting me on the right path.

Here are pictures of my cue! Cost me 2,750$

That is so cool.

That's one of the coolest and most uniquely designed cues I've ever seen. Thanks for sharing it!
There’s 3 cue replicas on the cue lined up with the 3 nine balls. I won the nine ball division at Johnston City so I wanted 9 balls on the Butt! Plus it added a little color to the cue. Richard Black had some beautiful cues laying out on his high dollar pool table in his shop on Lake Houston where he lived. Told me when I came to pick it up that he had more questions about that cue than any other cue he’d made!

Very unusual cue, that's for sure. Didn't know your nickname was Squirrel. Wasn't there a Tuscaloosa Squirrel too?

Yes, Marshall Carpenter! Myself and Bobby Taylor my road buddy stopped by the pool room Squirrel played at and I was gonna shoot 500$ at him at 50$ a game about 3 weeks after I won the all around at Johnston City. He wasn’t there that day so we just kept on going!
