More pics

I had a bumper added, but it can be removed, I like the bumperless look but my reality I would end up chipping the butt. The BBC sticker is a repo, From Ken Hash of Classic Billiards. The sticker is under the finish.
Both shafts weigh 3.6 oz and have Ivory furrels, The joint is flat faced Ivory. Butt weighs in at 15.6 oz. Not bad for a cue from the late 20s to early 30s. I shot it a little, Like the way it hits. I still miss balls though. Charlie D020.JPG

Very nicely done!

Congrats sir on a perfect conversion. If the design was your idea, you are a genius. That is one of the most tasteful elegant conversions that I've seen in a long time. As a fan of these old Brunswick cues, my hats off to you and Jerry R.
Enjoy it in good health,
Dan Z

Thank You Dan, I am no genius, I like to think Jerry and myself both contributed to the design of cue, Besides time taking its toll on the cue, The thickness of the butt and at 32 inches made the cue a good canidate for conversion.
The cue had a very slight warp, and the top of the wedge needed something done due a chip in the top of the veneer. The cue had a linen wrap, could of been silk I dont know.
I was really wanting to preserve the full splice. After Jerry looked at the cue, He said the butt could be taken down to remove the wrap grooves. I was tickled pink to hear that.
After taking it down the chip was still noticeable, He suggested to put 1 dot on the top of the wedge, I wasnt to thrilled about the 1 dot and sent suggestions on what maybe could be put there. It was decided to 3 dots in descinding order. I was worried that the cue would be off balanced, with just dots on the top of the wedge. Jerry then suggested 3 matching dots on the points also. I thought they looked great. Then it was done.
The bottom of the butt was totally beat up, and had to be replaced. tried to match the wedge veneers to the butt and capped with black.
So I guess it was mostly Jerry, With input from Sev, and me. as far as the finished product.
I hope we preserved the cue as far as its time period. I realize the dots are more from the 60s. But I thought they looked good.
I have read about the wait to get a cue made. While mine was only about 7 weeks, it felt like a year. I do take pride in not bothering Jerry, But the communications was at first every week, after the cue was ready for finish, I had not heard from him for 11 days it was torture. Then "finally finished", His words not mine. It was a great 7 weeks waiting, making decsions, second guessing myself. Would I send another cue to Jerry? in a heartbeat.. Charlie D

I've changed my mind. Ship it back. ;):D:D

Def sending the last one I have to Jerry for a restore.

After shooting with the 26 1/2 for a week, I love the hit. Which is not true with some of the cues I have owned. I would like to thank all who has responded. Charlie D
