Picked up this Early prototype 9' Diamond table made in the mid 90's awhile back and just finished stripping all the old stain, varnish and dirt out of the wood grain, restained it in a pecan satin stain with a satin clear. Had simonis 760 and artemis rails, plays awesome and super fast.

Very nice table. I have a chance to purchase one just like it. If I get the table, I will probably have a few questions for you.

It still has the older designed sub-rails, which play springy and bank a little short;)

What does that mean sub-rail?

The sub-rail is the part of the rail the cushion is glued to. You can see on your table the highest point of the rail is the wood of the sub-rail between the back of the cushion and the finish of the rail, if you feel right there it'll feel like it's humped up, that point of the rail is at 1 3/4" thick from the surface of the slate, and is also the highest point at the back of the cushion, from there the cushion is slanted downhill to get the point of the nose to 1 7/16"s

Nice work on the restore. Bet it plays like a great diamond should.
