Shane vs Tony?

- Tony said "$5000" Shane said "I'll play you for $2000" to which Tony replied "I said $5000" at which point Shane shrugged looked over his shoulder at the crowd and said "Who wants to bet on me?" He had $5000 in about 10 minutes. The game was cancelled due to a sleepy backer who didnt feel like getting out bed to sweat a match, which is understandable considering all this went off at 3:30 AM.

I'm pretty sure Tony could have covered the $2000 Shane offered to play him for right then, but maybe he just didn't want to play Shane. Maybe the idea of playing a US Open Champion on his own money didn't appeal to Tony.....

Who knows? Shane had the stake and Tony didn't. It happens. I do know that the guy Tony had for a backer is a monster and it is possible Tony did not want to play without him out of respect. There are so many possible reasons for things NOT to go off it is silly to try and figure it out or place blame. The default state of action is "No game." LOL.
