My simple Gus

[G-Man]

Made in mid to late 70's. 4 ebony points into curly BEM; Gus's titlist colors Crimson, Mahogany, Lime-green and white, which according to Barry, there are not too many of them. 5/16-14 SS joint. Rewraped with Penn Linen by Barry and a new shaft from him.

Look at the grains on the ivory ferrule of the new shaft

Call me stupid I guess, but it seems I always like the Gus cues better than the Balabuskas.

If I could do it, (two daughters in college right now), this is the Gus I would be itnerested in.

The "jazzed" up inlayed ones do less for me. Personally, I prefer Hoppe cues, but this cue is about as perfect (for me not speaking for you). as it gets.

The linen makes it 100% better.

I like it alot. Feels different than a Barry. A bit heavy but well balance. I have a tendency to use alot of english & need to tone down considerably

if you ever get to barry's place.. try out his gus .. oh my god !!!! that is one magic stick

I like Gus cues better than Bushkas, most of the time. Once in a while I see a particular Bushka that I like more than a particular Gus-but OVERALL I like Gus cues more than Bushkas. Gus's cues play better than Bushkas 80% of the time, there are some of both that are so-so, but alot higher % of Gus cues are GREAT!!.
