My sunshine has been stolen !!!!

Hey guys,

last night I was informed that my high run of 108 is no longer the recent high run to beat in my home room. Even though my 108 wasn't my highest, but it was the most recent substantial number....

A player by the name of "Ernie" ran a 150 yesterday afternoon, Ernie is a man that runs 100s quite frequently but the 150 is his new high run.

Ernie is not a user here on az but I would congratulate him here anyways ! I think he may be a "lurker" just so he can see what's going on. I wish he would join, so we can drawnput some of his knowledge out to the world

Now I say that my sunshine has been stolen, because ever since I ran that I was "in the spotlight". Now he just knocked me right back down.

I approched him last night to congratulate him last night and to express to him that I was made that he stole my sunshine, he claims it was not his intention. But I told him that it is gonna be my intention to best his 150 with a 151 just to knock him down a notch.

Ever since hearing that he did this, I played much more focussed I guess because deep inside I felt inspired to not only to beat it but to play the game how it was meant to be played.
I had quite a few multiple rack runs last night, not anything real high but they were played pefectly. I guess due to that new desire !

Well guys enough for me rambling, wish me luck in running 151 real soon !

Caio,
steve

Has anyone else noticed how when there is a better shooter in the room, lower end players step up there game because of it ?

That is some shooting.

My hat is off to Ernie. Great playing. There are great players out there but this does not take anything from you. Your 108 is a great run too. I can see a 151 coming but I can also see a 152 coming from him.....LOL It is a good goal.

Thanks, and great reply !

I guess we will be besting each other by 1 for a while.

Nothing wrong with some friendly competition to spark some real great play !

Congrats to Ernie. I remember him from back in the day... he was a stellar player; much better than I was, that's for sure. Although I only played him a few times, I needed a lot of weight and always got killed lol. His game reminded me a bit of Jose Garcia's... very, very sweet stroke.

Glad to hear he's still playing well, and that you guys can use your rivalry to better each other's games! Everyone needs some of that.

Please tell him I say hi.

Stevie,

I much agree on the Garcia style of play, pokes through the rack like a sergeon !

At least you had opportunities to play with Ernie, he keeps on ducking me !!

I will tell him you said hello !

Steve

how come we haven't seen anymore videos from you and Danny ? They are great vids for us all to watch and learn

Steve,

108 is a great run!!!! It has to be fun, to have a little competition on the high run goal..............Keeps you playin hard, and forces you to not quit!

Steve: 100 or 150 is not a big difference- i know many extremly good straight pool players- but i fear some guys more than *high-runners* because of their consistance. a friend runs in each game 2-3 runs of 40-60- and really in each game to 150. here i definitley know that he will punish me, if i make a mistake. some of the other guys, which run 1xx balls i don t fear like guys like him- because they all just hunting for big runs and just playing the game with too much risc.

just my humble opinion ^^

and how i heard steve- you really runnin consistantly 40-50 in almost every game- and that s what s important.
