Name These Overlaps

Saw this on Facebook and wondered if you see it like I do: except for the “full”, "1/2" and “thin” hits, I think they’re backwards - the fraction should describe the amount of overlap, not the amount of “revealed” object ball.

I start with the contact points so the fractions are irrelevant. Always in the middle of the overlap.
A half ball hit is actually hitting the inside quarter contact point of the CB with the outside quarter contact point on the OB. A full hit is hitting the middle with the middle. I understand fractional hits but I'd rather think in contact points. Either way works but I like the pinpoint.

The red lines depict the hit - where I started with CPG. They create reciprocal sections and are pretty simple to visualize. Fractions if desired can now be named according to CP location.
