Name your choice for the up and coming Cuemaker.

Hmmm

Schick or Mike Johnson as an up and comer? Where you been hiding man lol Mike Wheeler is about to make some splashes.
Looks like I've got to explain my Cajun sense of humor to our new North Louisiana friend here, lol. Tongue in cheek, plant firmly, laugh, exhale. That's better.

It was intended to show that Louisiana has some fine cue making artisans. My acknowledgemet was to show that the Tradition will continue. Besides Gary, Mike Derouen down in New Iberia makes some fantastic cues. The young cuemaker at Ross Custom Cues near Lafayette is doing a good job.

I can appreciate Mike Wheeler's Cues also. He certainly has a pedigree of working with a Legend in the business. His work is first rate and worth every dollar.

I haven't been hiding. It's AZ, nobody can hide here!!lol.

Dale Perry out of Orange Park Florida he made me The Strongest Monster Cue of the East,,, Thanks DP,, Keep up All the Good Work

Gary Johnson from Flippin, Arkansas.

His players hit EXTREMELY well and he recently built THE BEST breaker I've ever felt in my life.

He continues to get better and better. He's timely and actually ridiculously affordable. If he wasn't in podunk Arkansas, he'd be making a killin' off these things.

Robertson Custom Cues

Curtis Robertson! Check him, highly reccomeded by a hall of fame cue maker.

James Hanshew! As well

Kenny Murrell for sure...He's got to be one of the most underrated cuemakers of this time, and I got to say Larry Vigus too!!

Larry is an awesome guy and makes some great cues. His attention to detail and progression with inlay work and design tells me his passion for cue-building is strong and ever growing.

I have work from both of these guys, and since I've played with both...my opinion is based on those circumstances. There are other up and coming makers out there too, but until I play with one of there cues...my opinion would be null and void.

great choices.....

most of the names on the list so far for me are great picks....but i really would consider 75% of them as up and coming...for me there is one guy who does work that just makes me go how did he do that and his work is fairly new in the US.....ZEN CUES.....i played alittle with one at the expo this year....SWEET is the best word to describe it..

The 4pt. traditional SLY w/BEM windows was an excellent example of execution.

I would have to say the last cue I had built was my 1st. perfect cue.
