Hello to one and all,

We arrived in Naples after a long two day trip, to find that all of the tables were up and ready for action a day early, thanks to Ed Hagan and his son. [GREAT, set up CREW].

Parica wound up first and Dick Lane of Dalls was second. There were 76 players, which included Belinda Compos of Austin, Texas. Good for Belinda. It was nice to see that a fine player such as Belinda was welcome at this event.

Tournament director Scott "the shot" Smith also did a fine job.

Vendors, there were two, me selling my cues and doing cue re-pair, and Mike with his out door pool table and selling his cues.

Very nice hotel and tournament rooms.

The Seminole Tribe treated all of us well . They went out of the way to make this the "event of the year"....

MANY thanks to,

MITCH, DAVID, OB, DALE, and the rest of the tribe's crew. What a great bunch of folks. They support pool in evey way possible.
THANKS AGAIN.

She was getting the better of Wade also but got a bad roll. That match was a toss up.

And a big congratulations to Belinda who just became Belinda Campos-Calhoun. I understand the played in the Naples event on her honeymoon. Now that is devotion. I also heard she stopped by Tommy Kennedy's event on Sunday.

Blud, that was quite a tournament.

I can't imagine being 50 years old, able to run even ONE rack of nine ball every now and then and not playing in this tournament. There were many of us that had trouble running a rack of nine ball but it was a lot of fun. They pay so deep (32 I believe) that you are hard pressed not to win at least $375.00. And just being in the room with all of those champions was worth the trip.

The Seminole Indian tribe, Diamond Billiards, Ed, Grady, Scott Smith, Ogburn and yourself put on one of the best tournaments I have ever been to. The way Scott spaced out all of the matches and kept them on schedule was perfect for us old guys. The accomodations were excellent. Even the food was quite good and that is saying something because I am from New Orleans. :-)

The Naples Hotel was simply excellent. Having the tournament right there where you sleep is icing on the cake.

There was some discussion about the tournament being held next year at the RITZ Carlton Hotel in Naples or perhaps even the Seminole Indian's new hotel that is in the process of being built. Either way, it will be first class. Looking forward to next year.

There are at least 5 players who will make the trip from New Orleans next year. Hope to see you there.

Thanks for your excellent cue repair service.

Regards,
JoeyA:)
