The team I play on has won a trip to the Nationals in Vegas. I will be there for the end of May and was curious what there will be for vendors, cue makers and the like. Thanks for any info

For one, I know that Guido Orlandi (sp) is usually there for the VNEA. Maybe he is there for the BCAPL too and stays over.

He did some work for me in 09 and I would trust him muchly. Nice guy as well.

There is another fellow from South Dakota, I believe that is usually there.
The other cue repair guy in town is friends with him and I can't remember his name now for the life of me. He comes highly recommended from Vic. I know many would recognize his name if I were able to remember.

There is a guy who posts here that is pretty famous for his leather wraps. I spoke with him while he was making a wrap install look way too easy. He was working in Guido's booth at the time. Too bad I can't remember his name either.
Isn't old age wonderful.

I am sure that someone here will come up with both of their names in short order tho. I would know them if I heard them.

I am not in any need for repairs was just interested in meeting a few makers. Was hoping there would be a mini expo for billiard products.

There is definitely lots of that. I believe it was Fury that had a booth set up and had a ton of JB cases for sale. They had quite a few of his fancy tooled ones that go for the big bucks.

End of May? So, you're going to VNEA? Was there last year. Unfortunately, there were only about 10 vendors, that includes the repair booths. Kinda sparse.

IMHO, the BCAPL Nat'ls are way better on a number of levels including vendors. They have vendors lining the entire perimeter of the main room, and half a dozen in the second room. Plus, there's about 8 repair booths in a separate room with the "practice" tables (aka "action" tables).

I know this doesn't help you for this year, but maybe next year. Then again, BCAPL switched to the end of July in 2013 (WTF?!?), so maybe not.
