Hi Wayne -

It was another solid finish for me...which I am happy about.

No, I don't feel I am getting closer right now...I feel like I am simply maintaining...if that makes sense. And I am ok with that for now. With everything else that has been going on in my life, I'm pretty happy to NOT lose any ground...even if I'm not gaining it.

2007 is a new year...and hopefully I will be able to re-ignite the fire before then. I am definitely not as passionate as I was 5 years ago, but I don't think there is anything wrong with that. It's like what everyone tells me happens in a good marriage - the fire doesn't rage like it used to, but the steady flame provides constant warmth and happiness instead. That's how I feel about pool right now. I don't feel the gut-wrenching intensity that I used to. Instead, I just love and have great affection for the game, but I also know how to prioritize it in my life. I will definitely make a push to start learning and improving again...but I don't know when. I'm just not in the hurry that I once was
