NC pool rooms?

Hi, I'm new to the forum here (Just started back shooting pool after a couple years off) and I was wondering if anyone else here on the forum was from north Carolina and if they could recommend any good NC pool rooms. Preferably in the north eastern part of the state. I know I could look up a bunch of pool room names on line and call each one to see if they are still open but that doesn't tell me if the place is any good or not. You know what kind of tables do they have, are they in good shape can an average player like me find action for small amounts ( 10 or 20 a game at the most) does it have a good atmosphere? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know of any good rooms really close to you - you'd have to go to Greenville or Rocky Mount. In Greenville, there are On Cue and Past-time, and in Rocky Mount there's Dots.

nc rooms

Not much in the immediate area; Chubbies in Ahoskie took out almost all of thier tables;Thier focus is on alcohol & food. Thier is an old place on main street but tables not great. Maybe Greenville[best] or Williamston? local. I may know you; drop me a pm;Good luck, hunting! Regards, Kennyratt
 
I agree. Once you get east of Raleigh, it gets tough to find good rooms. There are plenty in Raleigh, a couple in Wilmington, and a few in Charlotte, but that's about it.

NC rooms

Sharkey's in Highpoint/ Archdale area is not to bad . Gandy
tables pretty well kept . I drop by there when I go to NC
 
There is a good room in your area where they have the Carolina Open every year, it is in Tarboro and I belive it is still called Fast Eddies.
