NC Tourney Results

46 men and 12 women showed up for the tournament in Kernersville NC this weekend. Mens winners- 1st- Chew (Derek Leonard) 2nd- Scott Lewis 3rd- BJ Ussery 4th Chris Berch. Paid top 8 spots with Chew taking home over $2400 in prize money. Sam Beatty won the womens tourney. Tony Watson showed up but did not place in the money. Took some action from BJ but that did not go well for Tony either. Total payout for mens was over $9000. Honorable mentions are Sam Smith, Bob Stanberg, Ritchie Tuttle, and David Willard (Shine) who are all locals that made it to sunday morning. We had over 100 spectators and a great turn out. Thanks to all!! Next tourney will be in June of 06.
 
I'm glad to see Bobby Strandberg did well. He was a regular last year on the Fury tour, and one of the nicest guys out there.

Ouch! I guess I had TW's game underrated, I wouldn't have thought he could give any weight up against GIJo. I might be right tho!
 
I don't know. It didn't seem like much of a game. 2 hours maybe. Tony didn't seem like he was up to par. Lots of misses, which you don't see out of him much. Chew couldn't get any action, just alot of mouth from some drunk kid who thought he could give Chew the 6. Right!!!

IMO Tony is one of the top 10 American players, probably top 5 for large amounts of money(ie 10K+) He gives lots of top players weight and usually wins. He will make a fair game with anyone and his high gear is as high as ANYONE'S He is just not quite as consistent as the very best in the world.IMO

1K?? if so i would say bj is the favorite, 10K now that is different alltogether
