Holly,

I see Amy Chen from Atlanta GA has qualified- one and only female to qualify to compete in the Nationals in Vegas. I hope to see more ladies added to the final list

Congrats Amy. Yes I was happy to see a woman on the roster for the Golden Nugget. When I saw a couple of names that Amy beat to win her spot, that was double impressive

Another woman, Cindy Sliva from Washington came real close 9th in a tough field of 64 at the Golden Fleece Billiards qualifier Jan. 17-18. I can imagine one day we may see her playing at the national level too.

The players that will be in Vegas next month are a very talented field. Many may not (yet) be household names, but many I've either seen play, heard about their skills for years or read about their accomplishments. There will also be alot of action surrounding the NCS 8-Ball Championship in Vegas pool rooms the week before and after for sure. With the U.S Bar Table Championship starting the weekend after the NCS 8-Ball Championship, Nevada will be pool player central.
