Thanks for asking about the NCS 1-P Nationals. Although the first 4 events were successful, those who were involved know how much was put into it. 2008-2009 was pretty much a blurr from my desk

The NCS will be moving foward, but after the first year, we decided to examine what worked well, what did not. There were many issues with some of the qualifiers and the program I came to realize was too dependent on the follow through and marketing capabilities of the pool rooms. Some rooms are very knowledgable and enthusiastic in that area, some are not. Not putting anyone down, just some folks are not naturally inclined towards promotions or more rely on a 3rd party for much of their room promotions.
Scheduling and the processes involved with the amount of qualifiers we worked with to accomplish the first 4 NCS national events were extrememly time consuming and not always in the most efficient way. This is something we plan to rework and rectify. We are as dedicated to the principles of the NCS as we ever were: expanding the opportunity for an open series of multiple discipline national championships. Our goal of including the local and regional rooms is something though that has to be re-worked.
We have full committment to the NCS and plan to continue the program but it needs to be restructured and this is something that takes a little bit of time. The NCS will return as many did support it including many rooms and players. The level of play was excellent and we believe it has gotten off to a good start. Please keep in touch and checking out

This also goes for the 2010 U.S Bar Table Championship, the 2010 Jay Swanson Memorial and...
We will soon be moving forward on invites and a qualifier program for the $25,000 added 2010 U.S. Open 10-Ball Championship coming at the Riviera Hotel and Casino next May.
Thanks,
Holly
