A few years ago I was really drunk and thought my tri-pod griller was an alien so I tackled it. I must have thought I was a superhero also, because I recall leaping from a few yards. After missing the alien by a yard...anyways, I have a fractured bone in the joint area that healed improperly. The ligament around the area will never come back. I basically have only four working fingers in that hand. What adjustments should I make to get my stroke back?

oh...it shoulda said mechanics for pool tables. where i'm from a mechanic is a guy that works on cars. but since this is pool, i thought a mechanic is someone who could help a pool player such as myself. sorry. guess noone can help.....whoa is me.

So your auto mechanic can help your pool game?

actually if he thinks a pool mechanic can teach him how to shoot then auto mechanics where he comes from teach people how to drive.

just keep playing, dont worry about your stroke right now.....i know that sounds discouraging but i would imagine you do more harm to your stroke as you think about how to correct it. just continue playing as norm and your body will naturaly come around and align itself for the task as it feels more and more comfortable with the task at hand.

every time my stroke is outta wack and i think about and try and fix it with steps to ensure consistency is when i mess up on the other stuff in front of me, so i just dont think about it and let my senses take over and the stroke follows and becomes natural again

Change your bridge or learn to play left handed or opposite of your bad hand...
Or use your feet..

i've tried. a few times i slipped the cue right out of my hand, i poped my jaw and couldn't say "R" words the entire week one time. no more switching.

thanks for the advice.

Alright, I'm going to give you the secret to restoring your stroke, and getting the use of your finger back:D...now, what you have to do is....take your hand, wrap it around something that is about the same size as the butt of a cue....like maybe your monkey or something;)...and exercise your fingers and wrist vigorously for 30 minutes at a time...3 times a day, don't worry about how straight your stroking is....but you might want to pay attention to your AIM:D after about 30 days of this exercising you'll be able to get a good hold on the but of your cue with all your fingers....and at least know in which direction it's going to be shooting:D:D

Is that your solution for everything?
