Need Help.....cue Buffs

I have a guy that I work with that has 7 "MASCONI" cues for sale.I guess masconi approached him for canadian production or distribution awhile back.All brand new never used,looked at them and are bueatifull cues.My question I guess is are they a common cue and are they as rare as he tells me they are,are Masconi cues still in production?
I guess I what I'm trying to ask is some sort of history with masconi cues and are they rare?I will get some pics up when I get home to see what you guys think.I'm thinking about buying one but dont want a cue that is everywhere.
It has a metal insert on bottom with masconi and 526 under his name

I highly recommend that you indeed post pictures here...before you purchase any of them.;)

Several cues have been produced over the years with "Mosconi" name. Joss & Jacoby are two that come to mind.
If the cues say "Masconi" then thats like a Rolex that says "Rolax".:)

o.k. ,i finally get what your getting at lololol.and yes the cue does say MOSCONI.lolol sorry
