Need help identifying a 1980's Adam cue

Hi Everyone:

I'm hoping someone can help me identify an old Adam cue I own.
I bought it back in the 1980's. My finances were quite modest at the time, and I doubt I spent more than $50.

As you can see from the attached images, the butt is a very simple, dark wood design (No wraps, no inlays). The joint a white plastic material. The screw is brass. The shaft is maple.

I sent these images to Adam. Their response was that they acknowledged if was one of theirs...but they couldn't identify it.

If anyone could help me, I'd be very appreciative.

Thanks

It looks to me like the A/H 20 Sands page 103 of the new Blue Book, with an implex joint instead of the typical stainless. You really don't see very many Adam cues with an implex joint. The cue was made from solid bocote which was stained a walnut color - pretty consistent with the looks of your cue. The other thing to help ID it is this is there are only a few models with plain rings, mostly the entry level cues. This logo - just the Lion decal without the word Adam - is typical of the mid 1980's Adam cues.

Your help.

Thank you.

I thought it might be, but the metal versus implex joint made me unsure.
I must say, for an 20 yar old, entry level cue, it has held up well.
Thanks Again.

I have the same cue. I think it was purchased sometime in the early 80's, also on a modest budget. I am sure the cue was under $100, probably quite a bit less. What do you figure these are worth today?
I remember vacillating between this 18.5 oz Adam cue (I had a heavy hand in those days and was trying to buy some finesse) and a 20 oz Huebler that was a few bucks more. Budget won out and I picked up the Adam. Shortly after, my friends chipped in and gave me the Huebler for my birthday. Nice to have such good friends. Still have the friends, never found the finesse!

Sorry about the lousy phone pic.
