Need help identifying a cue

First off, new to this forum so hello to all.

I have played pool on and off for 12 years and for my 22nd birthday this year my mother bought me a pool cue, she got it from a garage sale, the guy knew nothing about it and neither do I, I am trying to find out more about it but from what I can see it has no makers mark on it, the only identifying mark on the butt end is a small mark that looks like a K with the number 400 over it under a clear acrylic plug.

The inlays look like mother of pearl and the wrap looks like it was re-wrapped with what looks like alligator or snake skin (leaning towards a tanned alligator skin because the way it looks)

I will try and get some picture of it up today, I should have access to a camera after work so I will see about getting some basic pictures of it up and hopefully of what I think is the makers mark.

Thanks for your help everyone and hopefully someone could tell me a little about this fairly nice cue.

Just an update, I got my new cell phone and it had a camera on it so I was able to get some basic pictures of the cue, sorry for the bad quality but I had to work with what I had, hope someone might be able to tell me something about this, it's a good cue but I really would like to know something about the maker or anything that someone can tell me about it just for my sake.

I'd venture to say that your cue is an import cue from Taiwan based on the joint design and the pin.

I completely agree with the other poster, this cue appears to be an Asian import cue!!!!

It wouldn't surprise me, but still it shoots fairly well, feels about 19oz. and I like the feel, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't playing with a cue thats more of a collectors cue and I wanted to make sure my mom didn't get ripped off by the guy
