Not sure what to make of this.

Anyone have a guess...? Found this in my fathers basement. Plays way stronger than I expected. He passed away last year, played in Oak Park Mi. back in the 70's/80's,and never told me about this cue, which is strange because he had a few.

The stitch rings have what looks like coco in every 4th stitch, both on the butt, and on the collar. Ferrule is a screw-on, super tight rings in shaft. 5/16-18 joint. It's hard to see in the pics, but the butt-cap looks like ivory to me. Whats weird is, when I took off the the bumper and weight bolt, the butt-cap was not glued to the sleeve, and it doesn't look like it ever was...? the tip is layered.

I was going to say Helmstetter, but I think you are right. In the end it doesn't really matter anyway, since Adam / Helmstetter made those cues for palmer!!!

Take care
