I am curious what year this cue was made and if there is anything special about it?
It's my grandfather's cue. He played Mr Hoppe when he came to Decatur Illinois way back when and Willie gave it to papa after they played a game. According to my papa it was after he beat him!
Any information about the cue will be appreciated, thanks. IMG_20140101_124733.jpg

Looks like Ebony points

Ebony points are always sought after in old Hoppe Titleist cues. The joint is hard to make out. Can you take some pictures of the pin?

This should be in the cue and case gallery.

Joint looks to be from WWII.

Hop

Looks like a Rosewood Hoppie with the plastic joint. They did have an Ivory ring option. Yank in Pensacola got one the same way.
Nick :)

hoppe

You question was, what year this was made. I doubt anyone could answer that exactly. But it's my educated guess that this cue was made around 1960. I have 4 of them. It's a beauty, because it looks like ebony wood. This would have been made by Brunswick. Herman rambow made identical cues, but they did'nt have the Hoppe signature.

Thanks for the response. Here is a picture or the joint pin. I don't have an original shaft for it and would like to get one if anyone can help please.
