Title says it all. Any help would be appreciated. I need a new black dot shaft for this cue but I am having trouble finding the model number. The shaft that came with it was a black dot. Please don't tell me this is a fake! :frown:

Yeah I browsed through those two exact sites fairly extensively and did not see the one I have. I'm starting to think that this is bad news on the authenticity of this cue. Sorry about the small images as the large ones wouldn't show up for some reason. Perhaps I could just email Meucci a pic and see what they think?

I'm no expert but it looks real to me.

You don't nececessarly need the model number of the cue to get a new black dot shaft for it. I can't tell from your picture what type of joint collar it has, but if its one of the "standard" joint collars, you should be able to order the shaft without any problems.

The cue is certainly not a copy or a counterfeit this cue was made by Meucci. This situation comes up all the time, sometimes it is because there were not a large number of the model made or simply because you have not found the catalog where it is posted yet.

The cue appears to be a Two Point cue to me and Meucci made many models with only two points. If you are looking for a value just look for a cue that is similar and base the price upon that. If you are trying to figure out when it was made this may help. The Meucci name imprint used upon that cue has been used since 1990, before that cues made by Meucci had the Meucci Original Logo.

By the way since you are new poster to this site, I will help you along with Reputation points. These points are indicated by the little Green Box under your User Name, after I give you Rep there will be a number of new box's there.

Sorry I could not help more.

Thanks! I didn't realize they released the same model in multiple colors. So if I order a replacement black dot shaft from budgetcues.com I should tell them my design is the green/blue/black so the shaft rings match?

Sorry but it doesn't work that way, if you order a shaft from them or anyone else it will come with a plain Black Collar. Here is something else you need to understand, Meucci cues are also not the same size in all cases. If you order a shaft it may be to big or too small for your cue. The only way you can make sure it will fit is to send it back to Meucci and I don't recommend that either because it will take too long to get it back. The best thing to do if you order a shaft is to take it to a Cue repairman and have them add the colored ring and make it fit your cue.

Hope this helps/
