Hi again.
After searching and looking for months i decided that the cues that i like most are those with Bushka or Hoppe style. It's my dream to have one of these but don't know much about cues(thats why i 've been kind of fooled 2-3 times). The only cues with this style that i know is the Predator reissue and the Adam Balabushka reissue and i like their style very much but as i have read here (and been told) they're not good quality. So cause i am not rich(that's for sure!) and have already spend money for nothing can you suggest me cues with this style that i can stick with for a lot of time and only care about my game. The money i can spend is 400-600 dollars maximum i think(or cheaper if i can find used) so can anyone help me cause i'm very confused and as i said i'm not rich.
Also if helps i prefer a kind of stiff hit and feel and lighter cues..
Thanks

For that price range I'd try Pat Diveney or Bob Frey as starters.
For that price range you can get a nice custom Hoppe style as long as you don't go crazy on inlays.

i dont want inlays....and to help i'm not exactly a starter (not a pro either) and as a said i really need a cue to stick with a loooooooong time.

Btw, I wasn't implying you're a starter, I meant those are two guys you can start looking with. Diveney makes a very nice playing cue. He does a lot of butterfly splice work, but I'm sure he can do a nice Hoppe style for you as can Bob Frey. As of a couple of years ago I got cues in your price range from these guys. It probably be without veneers.
A little less well known but a maker of a fine cue is Barry Cameron in CT. I'm not sure what he does in that price range if anything, ask him.
Mike Webb in RI makes a fine cue too. I've actually one on order from him at this time. The one I've order is outside that price range, but he may do something in that range.

McDermott, Viking, and Rat are all really nice production cues. I play almost daily with my Viking, and even purchased from Viking a 314 shaft matched to my cue's joint ring.

I've also been intrigued with Samsara's "Bar Cue" line in your price range that I've yet to see, but can't be anything but quality coming from those guys, and I'll bet plays as well as my regular Samsara.

Really, nobody has anything negative to say about any of the above cues.

You can try a Lucasi LE-27. It's the only cue in its line that has an 8-piece shaft. I don't know why it's not available for other models. That shaft has a nice hit to it, IMHO.

If you can wait a month, I'll sell you my Lucasi L-E13. Its got a matching ring, original version predator shaft mounted on the radial pin. Hits very nicely. I'd keep it, but I have many others that are more expensive and are trade bait. I'll be using it at the APA Nationals in Aug. I'd say about $250 or so. I also have a brand new D-20 McDermott with a leather wrap. Best hitting McD I've ever seen. A leftover, I've been keeping it for a rainy day (in a centenial case, no less) and so far, I've never had a reason good enough to risk a ding in it. Needs someone to play with it more often than I. FMV is $800 or so. Original cost MSRP was $340. I'd be happy somewhere north of that, say $400 or so. Hard to find them in this condition. Joint protectors included.
