need help with "focus"

In retrospect, I should have asked (told) the guy to either be quiet or move away from my table. I'm not one for confrontations, and I didn't think that would be a good way to get my head into things, but it turned out poorly anyway. Next time I'll be a bit more proactive.

It's yet another learning experience.

A serious suggestion, if you think dealing with the guy might take you out of your game use a middleman(person). Ask the TD to quieten the guy down. Tournament Director meaning whomever is running the event. There isn't any reason that you should have to talk to him.

Not a bad thought, but being as it was a smallish room, it would become pretty obvious who had asked the TD. In this particular instance, I probably should have just been direct. Oh well, hindsight and all that. :p

Still, it gives me more experiences for my mental databank to fall back on. It will be better for me in the future, perhaps in a tourney or situation that is more important than yesterday.
