HI everyone, I have a customer with an old beat up Jerry Franklin cue. The shafts are pitiful and so dented and stained that its impossible to clean. Not only that theyve been sanded down to about 11 2/4 mm and are no longer straight. I can see the ferrules are micarta and have darkened over the years as some of these do. What he wants is 2 new shafts with micarta ferrules. I see them advertised from cue components but dont know if their the real MCCoy or just a yellow implex ferrule. I want to be honest and fair with this guy as to what Im assembling for him and not try to pass something off. Any idea if and where I might get these? One of the ferrules is cracked so I can remove that and get exact specks as far as the ferrule threading ect. so I can get the best fit possible. Huge can of worms. Im charging him 200 per shaft duplicating the ringwork and thread milling the threads and high end straight grain maple shafts. I dont think that out of line. So I need micarta ferrules if they still exist. Thanks for your help everyone.
