Ok, so I would assume that some of you are computer literate, seeing as you are on a computer at this very moment.

I am working on a billiards website(sales) from the ground up.. You can even see it evolve live if you like.

Over the last week I have been working on a xml/flash system that will allow me as the website owner to dynamically alter a text file (xml) to relay product information and ratings on hundreds of billiards products to a flash file that never needs to be altered but updates itself when the xml document is updated.

I want your input!

I have had hundreds of cues in my hands along with many more billiards products.

I want your ideas on what kind of information you want to know before you buy.

My ideas:
Ratings or delimeters for price,performance,value
The price will give a good sence of where the cue fits in the spectrum of cues eg. low end, high end
Performance: though not always being from my personal experience, but from what I have heard and see from the product and community
value: my personal feeling as to the price/value

I was also thinking I would add a section that explains the ratings and why I gave the ratings

and I would also be able to stream other flash videos pertaining to the product very easily.

Any input would be great

I think just a review section suffices... Someone elses individual opinion is worthless to me a as a consumer. Now seeing what 30 other people thought about a product speaks volumes.

But just as you are planning on personally rating what you plan to selling, take my personal opinion with a grain of... uh... chalk....

The review section and consumer rating system is already in place. The problem I personally have with reviews for the billiards market, from the consumer, is that most people are biased towards brand name. meaning, one person will rate the same exact cue from two different names at different values based soley on the name. Most billiards players when it comes to production cues, have very little to compare the cue they are reviewing to, they just havent had enough cues.

where per say the camera market, it is easy to compare features.. it is much harder to compare the feel of a cue?
