need help with new 14.1 league

trying to form a new 14.1 league in atlanta the week after easter....some months back someone posted a spreadsheet or software link for adjusting the players level of play. anyone know about how to do that or have the source to download? thanking in advance

Are you having this out of MBC? What night and what time?
 
I have been playing this game lately at home only.
I would like to see 14-1 pick-up and be played more. I don't know of any place in MI that holds this in a tournament or league.

it will be held at MBC.....thinking about the first sunday after easter.....not sure what time yet but maybe between 1pm to 3 pm.....even though mbc has their 10 ball tournament at that time we can use the NEWLY recovered brunswicks........i will be seeing the guy putting it together this evening and will have an update in the morning. i think he has about 6 or 7 guys thus far....will keep you all posted
 
Awesome! Sundays work for me. And I prefer to shoot on the Brunswicks now that they are recovered. I hate the Olhausen corner rattles.

Like I said, count me in, and keep us posted.
 
I'm interested but Sundays 1-3pm won't work for me. However, I'd like to stay informed about this new 14.1 league at MBC - have you thought of starting a mailing list or something to keep folks in the loop? Might also be a good way for Atlanta pool players to meet each other and to promote the game.

Sunday's 1-3 works for me just fine. Please keep me posted.
 
updated last night....still working on the first day of play...probably sunday after easter...working on handicap system also....if you have one please send and will put "in the equation for consideration".....if interested in playing, call terry hammill @ 404-202-1739 thanks for the interest and i look forward it.....

My guess is that would still be okay. If it is a round robin type format, you could schedule your matches potentially on another day. I know that I would oblige! I mean not everyone can make every match day anyway. An individual league like 14.1 needs to remain flexible in order to survive imo.

I agree Rob. The 14.1 leagues I have played in before worked as a ladder system where you played each person 2 or 3 times a season depending on length with the top 5 advancing to playoffs. 1 has the hotseat, 2 plays 5 and 3 plays 4 then the winners of those square off to see who plays 1st for the season championship. Though, I think just having 1st place win at the end of league helps curtail sandbagging as every win counts for the money.
 
just an update.....we have 9 or 10 players so far....need 3 or 4 more..next sunday will NOT be the first day to play....being delayed a week or so. the phone number i posted before is still good if you have an interest in playing. again, call terry @ 404-202-1739..
