OK.....I'm hoping some forum member will give me some particulars about how Paypal works; Do you just give them a credit card number or debit card ?

I think I would rather use a credit card for more security, but I'm not sure how it works when you want to send money or receive money. It seems most of the time when people here purchase things or give donations, they refer to Paypal, which I have never subscribed to, but I think I might just open up an account. I would have liked to use Paypal when donating to Ginky's funeral instead of sending a check. Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

Use a credit card, it will be used as a back-up to your balance when making payments or purchases.

+1

C.C. also secures you from paypal holding monies in your account incase of a bad transaction and also you can use your C.C. incase of fraud where there are some loopholes in paypal that bad buyers can get around.

If you like, you could also deposit monies into your account through Walgreens or Hy-vee or a few other places like that. It works just like a pre-paid C.C.

I've used my checking acct. for years with no problem. I have backup limited to $200 to minimize potential loss but Paypal is very on top of fraud protection
