Need info on a cue maker

I recently bought a cue that was built in the 1980s for the guy I bought it from. It is an 8-point ebony and it plays absolutely jam up, it plays 10x better than any other cue I've ever owned, which is quite a few including a jam up phillippi sneaky.

The guy I bought it from said it was built by some guy named Mullins but he pronounced it "mawlins" (could be the drawl) and said the cue maker was from Missouri. He also said that the guy did not make many cues and almost certainly does not make any anymore.

I tried doing a search, and the only mullins I could find was Dale Perry's employee. However, Dale is in Florida. Mullins could have moved, but I'd like to find out a little more on it.

I purchased it for very cheap and was offered quadruple what I paid for it the same day.
 
You really need to show a picture of the cue. We might recognize the work if we see it. Many time names get mispronounced from one person to another so many times that your Mullins could be most anything.
 
Did you ever end up finding information on the Cue Maker named Mullins? I just bought an older custom cue with the name Mullins as the signature so i could use that information.
 
I believe this was Don Mullins,seems like he was from East Prairie,Mo.

Consider yourself lucky if you got one that plays good and stayed straight :rolleyes:.

Most of the ones I saw from over that way either warped quickly or played like a baked potato. Tommy D.

I have a Mullins custom that plays really well. It is a great hit.
