Need It's George case Value before I sell it. I posted this in the for sale section by mistake and got some Interest. But only how much I wanted for it. I sent Tate an E-mail but no response yet. I don't want to over price or under price. If someone knows the value please PM me. If any one sends a PM with Interest I do not know a asking price yet. Offers are welcome. When I get a value I will contact in order of PMs.

Thanks
Ron

There is quite a bit of general wear on the case, I would say you would probably get somewhere between $100-$130. The more I look at the pictures, the more I see imperfections. Unlikely that you'll get more I think.

Yep, that range is about correct.

Ron,

Sorry for the delay - I've been buried at work and haven't checked my e-mails.

It's a very early George case, when he used the Fellini style latch. I would guess 1980's. One thing I think is odd is it's the only George case I've seen that doesn't have a sewn seam on the side.

I think it looks like good shape for the age and would ask somewhere in the $150 - $175 range. That's just my opinion - I don't know if the average buyer will appreciate the fact that it is an early case and this older style is seen only rarely anymore compared with the numerous George cases made later on.
