Hello:

I have a 7 footer my cloth is 9 years old in good condition considering how long I have had it. I do take care of my cloth no kids or pets I need an opinion I would like to have Simonis 860 put on with new rubber or rails.
My first question is should I go with Simonis I have heard some positives on Championship cloth. I would go with Simonis 860 on my barbox. My 2nd question is on the rails do you guys reglue the rails and use the same ones that I have or do you put on complete new sets. My rails need to be done no doubt they are not bouncy.
For 860 and new rails what is a good price I want to get this done. Also I want to correct glue for per their website. I got this from their website:

We recommend 3M Fast-Bond10™ for edge-glue glue-down installations. Currently, we are not aware of any other adhesives that will give proper adhesion for a straight edge-glue install. Any replies are much appreciated. Pat is you read this I will be getting in touch with you!!!

Call Kerry and get a set of Ridgeback Rails.

Accept no substitutes. Rail problem solved.

Cloth? I use Championship Tour Edition at the pool hall and Simonis 860 at home. At my level of play  I've never noticed the difference. I buy Championship by the 1/2 bolt and I have seen anomalies in the weave of the Championship. I've never bought that much Simonis at one time but I understand that their quality control is excellent and one would never see the flaw I do in Championship. For a cared for home table I think its worth the extra for Simonis.

My 2 cents worth .... oh yeah, I'm not a mechanic.

Im a full time mechanic out of SC. from the sounds of things you take good care of your table seeing as the cloth lasted that long i would honestly just make sure you find a very professional and recommended mechanic and invest in simonis and new ridgeback rails as stated.. in my experience price varies a lot state to state and i don't want to openly make a quote and undercut or overprice your area especially if you find a mechanic from here.

Its gonna be a sizable investment but trust me its worth it to just do it once and be done and hopefully you wont have to spend it again for another 9 years. If you have any questions just message me on here and ill help however i can.

Where are you located? Prices are definitely regional. Maybe someone in your area will speak up with a price.

I bought new rails from Ridgeback for my Global bar box. Recovered with
Simonis 860HR Tournament Blue. Looks are outstanding and it plays beautifully. Have had many compliments on how the table plays. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Tour 30-30 is compatible to 760. Much quicker with more slide than 860. Makes for spectacular breaks on a bar box but unless that's all you want I would go with the 860. As for the rest- where are you located? Are you looking for a do it yourself project and recommendations or a mechanic? Either way you've come to the right place- we'll get you answers
